DJIVE / System requirements

DJIVE Standalone

System requirements

What the PC needs to run DJIVE Standalone, put the wall on a venue screen, and let phones join.

Minimum

  • System. Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
  • Processor. Dual-core 64-bit, roughly 2016 or newer.
  • Memory. 8 GB.
  • Graphics. DirectX 11 with hardware H.264 playback. Intel UHD, AMD Vega, or any GeForce or Radeon from the last several years is enough. Keep the driver current.
  • Display. One screen, 1280×720 or higher. The TV window can sit on that same screen.
  • Disk. About 500 MB free for the program, the built-in server, and the background clip.
  • Network. Venue Wi-Fi on the same network as this PC. Windows Firewall must allow the program. Port 8790 must be free. Guest or client isolation on the router must be off.
  • Internet. Needed once to install the local server, and about every 7 days so the licence can check in. A night in between can run with no internet.

Recommended

  • System. Windows 11, 64-bit.
  • Processor. Quad-core, Intel 8th gen, Ryzen 3000, or newer.
  • Memory. 8 GB for this program alone. 16 GB if the same PC also runs DJ software or a browser.
  • Graphics. The same kind of chip as the minimum, with a current driver. A separate graphics card is only worth it if this PC is also driving a 4K screen or other heavy video.
  • Display. A booth screen, plus a 1920×1080 TV on HDMI. A 4K TV is fine. The moving background is a 1080p, 60 frames-per-second clip.
  • Disk. 2 GB free, so guest photos and updates have room.
  • Network. The venue’s main Wi-Fi, not a guest network that blocks phones from seeing the PC.

Phones

Phones do not install an app. Any recent phone browser on that same Wi-Fi is enough.

When the internet is needed

Signing in, Online mode when phones cannot reach this PC, street-photo games, quiz questions pulled from the internet, and going live on DJive.co.uk. The wall itself can run offline between licence checks.

DJIVE VDJ Plugin

The VirtualDJ plugin needs this same Windows PC, plus VirtualDJ. The overlay uses the video output VirtualDJ already sends to the venue screen.
