Video wall DJ — run the wall from VirtualDJ, not a second desk

If you mix in VirtualDJ and the room has a TV, LED, or projector, you can be a video wall DJ without a media-server stack. DJIVE is a Video FX plugin. Enable it on the slot that feeds the screens. Moderate from the booth. Guests do the rest from their phones.

A night as a video wall DJ

  1. Overlay on your output Chat, QR, highlight. Drag them. VirtualDJ remembers. Pick Club, Wedding, Event, Lounge, or Garden.
  2. Queue in the booth Native moderator inside VirtualDJ, or Browser mod on a tablet. Card rows with a colour for shoutouts, requests, photos, tips, venue notices.
  3. Call bits on the mic “Scan the wall.” Start a vote. On Pro, birthday / dance / shots fire behind the panels. Enough reacts lights a card on fire.
  4. Requests you can play They search your crates, including plugged-in VirtualDJ drives. Stack repeats. Mark Played or Refuse without wiping the list.

Install, once

Fully quit VirtualDJ. Unzip DJIVE Video Wall.dll into the VideoEffect folder. Enable it on the video slot. First time: Install Node if this PC needs it, then tap Update. Later nights: Info, Update in the booth, then fully quit only if the DLL itself was replaced.

Free is 25 shoutouts and 25 requests a week — enough to try a Friday. Pro is £10 once or £10 a month for unlimited posts, photos, tips, guest-app looks, and word FX. It stays on the computer you first sign in on.

Not Ask the DJ, not OBS

Ask the DJ is a web inbox. OBS can throw a browser on a wall, but it is another box to keep alive. DJIVE is the interactive video wall on the same PC you mix on. The join address stays off the screens. People have to be on the venue Wi-Fi.
