DJIVE / VirtualDJ plugin
A plugin for the TV you already use
DJIVE Video Wall is a Windows video effect. It sits on the output that feeds the screens. People scan a QR on that same picture. You moderate from the booth. No extra PC, and no website written on the wall.
It lives in VirtualDJ
A lot of guest-wall tools are a browser page, or VirtualDJ’s Ask the DJ. DJIVE sits on the video you already send to the club TV, the wedding screen, or the bar. The chat, the big card, and the QR are three boxes you drag with Edit layout. VirtualDJ remembers where you left them. It can pulse with the beat, and you can set how solid the wall is over the video.
First time: open VirtualDJ, go to Options, and click the small cog at the bottom right. That opens the folder this install uses. Open Plugins64, then VideoEffect, and paste DJIVE Video Wall.dll there. Fully quit VirtualDJ, then open it again. Then enable the plugin, Install Node if this PC needs it, and tap Update. The booth menu opens when you start the plugin, not before.
What guests actually send
- ✓ Shoutouts. name plus a short message, up to 180 characters
- ✓ Song requests from your VirtualDJ library, including plugged-in drives
- ✓ Photos from the camera roll or on the spot (Pro)
- ✓ Live votes you start from the booth
- ✓ Tips through your PayPal or bank pay-me link (Pro)
Nothing hits the TV until you say so, unless you turn auto-approve on for shoutouts and photos. Tips still wait on the Tips tab.
Ask the DJ is a different thing
Ask the DJ is handy as an inbox on the web. It doesn’t put a moderated wall on your video output. DJIVE is that wall: a QR on the TV, a card that then drops into the chat, and a booth list where you approve, refuse, mark played, or block.
On the normal setup, phones use the same venue Wi-Fi as your PC, and the join address stays off the screen. Online uses a DJive.co.uk link when that Wi-Fi blocks phones.
Basic, Registered, Pro
Basic is free, with no account: 25 shoutouts and 25 requests a week. Registered is free, with a DJIVE account: 200 shoutouts, 50 requests, and 1 poll. Pro is £10 for one month, or subscribe at £10 a month until you cancel. A year is £110 for 365 days. That does not renew, and it saves a month against paying £10 twelve times. Pro covers unlimited posts, photos, Tip the DJ, word animations, a picture on a poll, pub games, your own logo on the QR, and your own look on the phones. A normal Pro key is on one computer at a time. Unlink that computer from Account to move it. Business Whitelist is £24 a month for 3 venues at £8 each. Each extra venue is £10 a month. Each of those computers is Pro.
