DJIVE / Standalone / FAQ
Standalone questions
DJIVE Standalone is the wall as its own Windows program. This is how you install it, how phones join, and what you can do once it's open. The full night guide is on FAQ. Switch it to Standalone.
What is DJIVE Standalone?
It's a Windows program called DJIVE Wall. The guest wall is its own TV window: a QR, a big card, and a chat of the night. The booth is a second window on the same PC. Phones use the browser.
How do I install it?
Download the setup from this site and run it. It installs for this Windows user and adds a Start menu entry. The first time you open it, a setup card may ask you to tap Install Node. Wait for the bar. If that's already done, the wall just opens.
How do I run a night?
Open DJIVE Standalone. Drag the live window onto the TV, or any screen plugged into the computer. Double-click the picture to fill that screen, and double-click again to shrink it. Leave the booth on the computer you're working from. Guests join the venue Wi-Fi and scan the QR. You approve posts from the booth. Closing the program ends the night, and phones see a thank-you that the wall has finished.
How do phones join?
They join the same venue Wi-Fi as this PC and scan the QR. The address stays off the TV. If that Wi-Fi blocks phones from the computer, open Settings, Venue, Network, choose Online, then Apply Change and Restart Server. The program stays open. When you leave Online, or close DJIVE Standalone, phones go back to the venue Wi-Fi.
How do I put my own pictures and videos on the TV?
Open Settings, Background, then Open Custom Background Folder. Copy pictures and videos into that folder. They play with the DJIVE background. Picture time is 5 to 120 seconds. A video plays through, then the next file starts. New files are picked up on their own.
How does a company put an advert on every venue?
On a Business Whitelist plan, open the venue panel on DJive.co.uk. Add to every venue saves that picture or video on every venue. Add image or video on one venue card saves it there only. Linked computers download it the next time DJIVE opens. Remove, or Remove from all, deletes that file on the linked computers and the TV stops showing it, including while DJIVE is open. Pictures and videos copied into Settings, Background on a computer stay on that computer.
How do I run the booth from a phone?
The booth shows a Control PIN. On the guest page, open remote control and type that PIN. Turn the phone sideways. The remote follows the booth: messages, requests, games, music, clients, and settings. Full screen sits above Leave and hides the browser bar where the phone allows it. Hold a slider before you drag it. Hold a song and choose Play next. Refresh beside Up next picks a different song. A phone on that PIN shows Admin on Clients. Block it and the remote login stops until you unblock it.
How do updates work?
Open Info, Update, and tap Update. The program installs the new build, closes, and opens again. Nothing downloads until you tap it. The booth tells you if you're up to date, or if an update is ready.
Where do I download it?
On the Download page. Run the setup program. It installs for this Windows user and puts DJIVE Standalone on the Start menu. If you already have it, Info, Update can install a newer build without downloading the setup again.
Which account does it use?
The same DJIVE account as this website. Log in from Settings, Account, or paste the Pro key. Pro is £10 for one month, or £10 a month until you cancel. A year is £110 for 365 days. That does not renew, and it saves a month against paying £10 twelve times. A normal Pro key is on one computer at a time. Unlink that computer from Account on DJive.co.uk, quit DJIVE on the old computer, then sign in on the new one. Business Whitelist is the company plan: £24 a month for 3 venues at £8 each. Each extra venue is £10 a month. Each of those computers is Pro, and the venue panel opens on this site.
What can guests do?
Shoutouts, photos, song requests, karaoke requests, tips, live reacts, votes, and games, when you leave those on. Song requests search the libraries you turned on, or they type the title. Tips open the PayPal or bank link you pasted. DJIVE doesn't take the money. A venue manager can post with tonight's PIN.
What games are in it?
On Pro: Pub Quiz, Bingo, Music Bingo, Geo Guesser, Open the Box, Raffle, Prize wheel, Race Game, and Community Touch (Snake, Pong, or Breakout). For Music Bingo, pick a folder of songs and videos on your computer. The clips play on the TV while people mark their cards. Bingo can be one game, or Event for a night of several games. People join once, then each game deals that game's tickets. A quiz you type yourself stays on your computer. Open Trivia and Geo Guesser need the internet. The Games page has the steps for each one.
Does the wall follow the music?
The TV has a slow pulse you set in the layout. It doesn't lock to a deck, because there isn't one. Beat lock is in the VirtualDJ plugin.
What are the weekly limits?
Basic is free, with no account: 25 shoutouts and 25 song requests a week, no live polls, and live reacts. Registered is free, with an account: 200 shoutouts, 50 requests, and 1 poll a week. Pro is unlimited posts and polls, plus photos, tips, word animations, a picture on a poll, pub games, your logo, and your own look on the guest page.
